Etienne van Heerden wil contribute to the Felix Poetry Festival in Antwerp, Belgium, on 12th June 2013. From the festival’s website: Om het met de woorden van Simon Vinkenoog te zeggen: ‘Poëzie dient onverbiddelijk te zijn, of niet.’ Het nieuwe Felix Poetry Festival wil onverbiddelijk elk jaar het beste uit de wereld van de poëzie brengen, uit binnen- en buitenland. Zo divers het genre is, zo gevarieerd is het programma. Etienne van Heerden’s new Afrikaans novel is titled Klimtol, Afrikaans for yo-yo. It will be published in September 2013 (Tafelberg Publishers, Cape Town). Here Van Heerden is holding an original Russel yo-yo from the 1960’s.
